Time Management
The two main factors to success in time management are:
1) To be able to set priorities
2) To be able to focus on one task at a time.
As we never have enough time to complete all the tasks we have, we have to prioritize our daily activities ensuring that we are always using the best and most valuable use of our time at any moment.
Thinking what is the best use of your time will keep you on track. Focusing on the highest value tasks first is an essential starting point to becoming great at time management. Stay with the most important tasks each day until they are complete, using this method alone will ensure you will achieve far more, become more in control of your day and help to become excellent in time management.
To ensure that you are always tackling the highest value task first work from lists.
You need a master list to start with where you write down all the tasks that need to be completed in the future, get yourself a notepad you can carry with you and just add to that list every idea or task you think of, you can sort the list out later just remember to add to your list.
- Create a monthly list written at the end of the month to be ready for the next month just transfer items from your master list that you want to achieve in the coming month.
- Create a weekly list which are items taken from the monthly list, this list can also be added to as priority activates appear.
- Finally have a daily list, this is made up from weekly items you want to accomplish on that day. Once you have completed the task tick it off your list. Just the act of crossing off the task will give you that feeling of achievement which will give you that feeling of powers which will motivate you to complete all the other tasks that you might have been putting off for another day.
